About:
Hello! I am Seppe, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Ostend (BE).
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including book covers and interior illustrations, artwork for music releases and posters, as well as drawings for newspapers and magazines.
When creating books, I try to approach my audience — young and old — with care and respect. When making books, I try not to see my readers as “just children.” I remember the books that touched me when I was a child, filled with worlds to discover and colorful characters to meet. I hope to create exactly that for the beautiful new generations of children growing up right now.
Through considered imagery and, where possible, a sense of poetic nuance, I hope to offer younger generations visual worlds that feel meaningful and worth growing up with.
Living along the grey Belgian coastline, I spend a lot of time walking by the sea and listening to the gulls. The rhythm and atmosphere of the coast quietly shape and inform my work.
